Residential vs Commercial

For homes, I install PoE IP cameras that record to an NVR in your house, so your footage stays with you. I cover entry points, driveways, and detached garages or barns with buried cable rated for our winters. After the install, I walk you through viewing on your phone, in plain language. For businesses, I take on project-based camera work: multi-camera PoE systems, point-to-point wireless bridges between buildings, and NVR setups with remote access for owners. No monthly contract, no dispatch network — you deal with me from the quote to the final walkthrough.

PoE IP Cameras and NVRs, Explained Simply

PoE (power over Ethernet) means one cable carries both power and video to each camera. It’s more reliable than WiFi cameras because the signal doesn’t drop and there’s no battery to charge. Your cameras record to an NVR (network video recorder), a box in your home or office that stores days or weeks of footage depending on the hard drive size. I set up remote viewing on your phone so you can check in from anywhere.

How It Works

  1. Quote: I come out (or we talk through it on a call), look at what needs coverage, and give you a firm quote before any billable work.
  2. Install: I run the cable, mount the cameras, set up the NVR, and configure remote viewing.
  3. Walkthrough: I show you how to view footage, save clips, and add users, in plain language. No jargon.

Why One Technician, No Monthly Contract

Most camera companies send a different person every visit and lock you into a monthly plan. I do it differently: I’m the person who quotes the job, installs the cameras, and answers the phone afterward. Project-based pricing with no monthly contract. If something needs adjusting later, you call me directly.

Services

3+ Years Installing Security Cameras

I’ve been installing security cameras for over 3 years — commercial installations plus 5+ residential installations. I know what works and what doesn’t, and I’ll tell you straight if a camera won’t solve your problem.

PoE IP Camera Installation

Power-over-Ethernet cameras are the professional standard — one cable carries both power and video, no batteries to change, no WiFi dropouts. I install PoE systems from a single camera to multi-building commercial setups with 4K recording and remote viewing.

Ring Camera Installation

Already have Ring cameras or thinking about getting them? I handle Ring doorbell and camera installation, WiFi setup, and troubleshooting. If your Ring keeps going offline or won’t connect, I can usually fix it.

Dash Cam Installation

Protect yourself on the road with a professionally installed dash cam. I install front and rear dash cams with clean wiring — no dangling cables, no cigarette-lighter adapters. Hardwired for parking mode recording.

Starlink Installation

Need internet where cable doesn’t reach? I install Starlink satellite internet systems — dish mounting, cable routing, and network setup. Perfect for rural homes, camps, and businesses in NY, USA.

Service Areas

Based in NY, USA, I provide on-site security camera installation across Warren County and the surrounding southern Adirondacks — including Queensbury, Lake George, Hudson Falls, Fort Edward, South Glens Falls, Warrensburg, Corinth, Wilton, Ballston Spa, Malta, and Clifton Park — as well as the Capital Region, including Saratoga Springs, Troy, Schenectady, and Albany.

FAQ

Q: PoE or WiFi cameras — which is better?

A: PoE cameras are the better choice when you can run a cable. They don’t drop signal, don’t need charging, and record continuously to your NVR. WiFi cameras make sense for a spot where running cable isn’t practical. I’ll tell you honestly which fits your property.

Q: How much footage does an NVR store?

A: It depends on the hard drive size and how many cameras you have. Retention varies by resolution, bitrate, and recording settings, and I size the drive to your needs during the quote.

Q: Is there a monthly contract?

A: No. My installs are project-based: you pay for the equipment and the installation, and the system is yours. There are no required monthly fees.

Q: What areas do you serve?

A: I’m based in NY, USA and provide on-site service across Warren County and the Capital Region — including Queensbury, Lake George, Hudson Falls, Fort Edward, South Glens Falls, Warrensburg, Corinth, Wilton, Ballston Spa, Malta, Clifton Park, Saratoga Springs, Troy, Schenectady, and Albany. For larger commercial projects, ask — I’m willing to drive. And if you’re not local: I offer remote camera troubleshooting and quotes over Zoom, plus mail-in drone repair nationwide.

Q: How do I get a quote?

A: Call or text 518-888-7139, or email mobiletechspecialists@gmail.com. Tell me what you want covered and we’ll set up a look at the property. The quote is firm before any billable work starts.
