If you own a Yuneec drone, a Typhoon H, a Q500 4K, an H520, or a Mantis Q, you have probably wondered where the company went. Here is the straight answer.
What happened to Yuneec USA
The former Yuneec USA consumer operation went into receivership and no longer exists. A new Yuneec USA operation now focuses on pro-level drones, the Typhoon H Plus, H3, H520, and H520e, and is difficult to reach by phone. Yuneec manufacturing in China continues. The old warranty repair chain collapsed along the way.
What this means for you
If you fly a Typhoon H or H480, a Q500 4K, or another consumer Yuneec model, there is no official US repair or parts channel anymore. That does not mean your drone is done. Parts and expertise are still available, and these drones are still worth fixing.

Frequently asked questions
Is my Typhoon H still worth repairing?
Yes. The Typhoon H is a solid hexacopter and most failures, GPS issues, gimbal faults, arm and motor damage, are fixable with genuine parts that are still available.
Where can I buy genuine Yuneec parts?
Right here. I stock genuine OEM Yuneec parts in the USA and test them before they ship.
Who can remove the no-fly zone from my Yuneec drone?
I can. I am the only NFZ unlock in the USA for all Yuneec models, using the official software passed down from Yuneec through YuneecSkins.
Is Yuneec making new consumer drones?
Yuneec manufacturing continues in China, but there is no US consumer sales and support operation like there used to be. For the drones already in owners hands, independent specialists are the support channel now.
