What this part does: This motorized unit is what raises and lowers the landing gear legs on Typhoon-series drones. When you toggle the landing gear switch on the controller, this module drives the gear up or down – tucking the legs out of the way in flight so the camera gets a clear, unobstructed 360° view.
Common symptoms of a failing retract module: Landing gear stuck in the up or down position, gear not responding to the retract switch on the controller, grinding or clicking sounds during gear movement, gear that moves slowly or only partway, or one side moving while the other does not. If your gear behaves this way – especially after a hard landing or crash – this module is a likely culprit.
