Read before you buy: This is a $100 software license locked to your specific Q500. Once the firmware update is emailed to you, there are absolutely no refunds – no exceptions. The steps below take a Windows PC and basic computer skills (installing the Yuneec GUI, turning off your antivirus during the install, running the program as administrator, connecting the drone over USB with the programmer). If you’re not comfortable with that, contact me before you buy.

• You will need your Q500 Product ID Number (the Product ID Number is not the Serial Number).
• You will Need the USB Interface Programmer that came with your Drone to Connect to your Computer.
• If you don’t have the USB Interface Programmer you can get 1 here: USB Interface Programmer
• Obtain your Product ID Number Before You Purchase this Service, to be sure you can Connect your Q500 to the GUI for the NFZ Update.
• You Must Turn off your Antivirus Before Downloading & Installing the GUI or it will not work!
• After the GUI is successfully installed, “Right Click” on the GUI Icon and Select “Run As Administrator”

• This firmware will be registered to you alone, DO NOT attempt to Install the Update on any other Q500, it will Lock the Flight Controller and make the Drone Inoperable.
• Purchase of this Service Shall Be Considered Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of this Release of Liability Agreement.

Airspace compliance: This NFZ unlock removes Yuneec’s built-in no-fly zone restriction, so your aircraft will take off and fly without the manufacturer’s geofencing limits. It does not grant FAA airspace authorization. You should still obtain authorization through LAANC where required (for example, in controlled airspace), and you are responsible for flying in compliance with all FAA regulations.
